About Us

My name is Lylla, and I am addicted to great food!

Interestingly, I was raised in a small village in Northern Vietnam where as we like to say... The dogs eat rocks, and the chickens eat gravel. Some of my earliest memories are of my mother making and selling Banh Mi for $0.20, and Pho for $0.50, to support my family.

Since then, I've made my life about the pursuit of amazing food. I've travelled to Taiwan, Korea, and Japan, just to eat!  for it, I created a business around it. And cooking is my most favorite way to lose myself.

After spending 5 years in Europe and the USA,  I decided to return to my home to create content that is specifically focused on introducing authentic Vietnamese foods to travelers who are looking to make the most of their dining experience when they visit Vietnam.

​Not too long after I began creating content. , I started giving street food tours to travelers who requested my help showing them the local food highlights of Hanoi.​ Since then, I've be lucky enough to build a successful and reputable food tour business. 

Our goal at 'Curious About Vietnam' is to provide a clean, comfortable and cultural eating experience for our food-focused guests. Each of our food tour hosts consider themselves to be personal ambassadors of Vietnam. They take pride in their work, their food, and their culture.
